Emma creates luxury handwoven scarves, snoods and shawls
As a weaver and textile designer, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK Emma weaves collections of luxury accessories including handwoven scarves, cowls and shawls. Production is small scale with most pieces being totally unique making perfect luxury gifts. Whether it be a snuggly scarf, a cosy cowl, a sumptuous shawl or a men's tie these pieces all provide a special style. The aim is simply to produce a piece of wearable art which will become a treasured and well-worn accessory.

Emma weaves predominantly with natural fibres, usually fine merino lambswool or cotton weaving on a large floor loom and smaller rigid heddle weaving looms and will sometimes make accessories using her own own hand spun yarn.

Emma weaves on a large 8 shaft floor loom and smaller rigid heddle looms using predominantly natural resources. The woven fabric is most often produced using merino lambswool or cotton but some fabric is woven using yarn which has been hand processed and spun, from local sheep and alpaca fleeces. A favourite design for a handwoven scarf uses a deflected doubleweave weaving technique where coloured yarns are interchanged to give a reversible pattern with a striking colour block appearance.
Emma also works with fellow weaver Gillian Siggers as TabbyandTweed. Together we run weaving workshops which are detailed on the workshop page. To keep in touch with what is on the loom, off the loom, new handwoven products along with events that Emma attends and workshop dates sign up to receive weaving news.
